Bio:

=Xander is the youngest of the two sons of Drake Aelarin, Captain of the Guard in Thors Point. Xander has a fun-loving spirit and tends to be a dare-devil always eager to go first and jump into the fray. Following a horendous attack within the mines of Thors Point. Xander decided to follow in his fathers footsteps. His father handled Xander’s training himself, thus their styles of combat are very similar. Xander is novice compared to his father, but his skills and training are growing quickly. Already wielding two swords and easily traversing the mines with his father in tow, he is eager to prove his abilities and find glory in the name of Thors Point. His eagerness coupled with his abilities is why Lord Samael chose him as one of the four to enter The tournament.

Xander’s belief system is that Nobility should be earned through deeds being done and not through money or rank in society. The true noble doesn’t sit on his throne of gold, but rather is out amongst the people, earning his title through the deeds he does. It was his father that taught this to him.

“Be glorious in battle, be glorious in life (the deeds you do) and you’ll be glorious in death. That is the true meaning of nobility.” ~Captain Drake Aelarin

Eiden represents this attitude the best for Xander. He feels that the ability to fight for this belief is crucial. Glory in this respect comes from battle for Xander. Protect those who deserve it, and take from those who don’t. Always the first to run into the fray, he tries to earn his keep by assisting in the protection of Thors Point.

HISTORY:

Unlike his elder brother, Zachariah , Xander took to the mines instantly. He was fasinated at a young age of vast depths that went underneath Thors Point. Every chance he got, he would venture into the mines and study everything he could see. Eventually his mother forbade him from going into the mines, afraid he would get hurt. Against his mothers will, Xander would sneak out and follow his father into the mines out side of town. Xander was extremely gifted at hiding and sneaking through the caves as he followed his father. As a young man, Xander got on the nerves of many miners as he would constantly surprise them, steal their lunch pales and replace the contents with rocks, move their tools, and then hide in the shadows again. Xander kept up with these tricks till he was 15 or 16, until the miners finally got tired of his childish antics.

Tired of Xander’s shananigans, the miners protested to his father. Telling Drake that he needed to keep his son in order, and he should be like his brother and actually work instead of playing games. Seeing as how Xander was already accustomed to the mines around Thor’s Point, Drake decided to take Xander with him as he did his duties. Xander felt this to be pointless, he wanted to play instead of work. That was until his childish actions almost caused him his life. He seperated himself from his father one day to play a trick on one of the miners. Xander’s trick caused a collapse in mine which drew the attention of a nearby beast, one that decided Xander would make a suitable meal. The beast pinned Xander and slashed its claws at his chest and back, scarring him for life. Just before Xander faded from consciousness he heard the familiar sound of his father’s swords slaying the beast.

As Xander awoke a few days later, he realized the errors of his childish ways. He needed to help the town more, earn his place in the world. He wore and embraced his scars as a symbol of putting his childish antics behind him and growing up. Xander vowed to his father to follow in his ways and use his skills to help the people of Thors Point. Once Xander was healthy enough his father took him and started to train him in the ways he himself was trained by his father. Xander learned quickly over the next 6 years, but he was still a novice…just beginning his pysical training. Xander kept his promise and started to earn his place in town. He helped people more, treated people better, acted better, and started to become a substantial citizen of Thors Point.

Seeing promise in his training with his father, Lord Samael chose Xander (now 21 years of age) as one of the four to represent Thors Point in The Tournament. Wanting to make his father proud and show him how much he has grown since his training started, Xander eagerly joined the other four in their training for The Tournament.
